Working from home was never in the cards for me at my last job because it was on the road sales – I had to be in my car with my mobile broadband service providers all the time, checking email and handing out samples and wining and dining potential clients. I love my new position though because I’m able to work from my home office and I have so much flexibility when it comes to my daily routine. As long as I hit my numbers my boss is happy so I’m able to do laundry, cook dinner and even take a 3 hour walk in the afternoon if that’s what I want to do, you know? Anyway, I miss a bit being able to talk to people in person but I still have plenty of phone conversations which makes me feel like part of society. I keep reading that working from home is becoming more and more common and I guess that’s why – it’s a great option for people like me who don’t function well in an office.
